5 of the Best Eco-Friendly Christmas Activities to Do in London for Under £30

The most precious gift you can give someone is… time. So this year, forget stockings full of tat and bins full of plastic wrappings. Gifting experiences is where it’s at! Not only it will save the planet (and us) from drowning in ever more waste, but it will allow you and the special people in your life to share some extra-quality time together. Here are some of the best London-based festive experiences that won’t break the bank.

All the Festive Activities at City Island

London’s got a new outdoor Ice Rink! You can find it at the recently opened Hopewell Square, which also hosts artisan Christmas markets and a selection of festive workshops for all ages. Fancy ceramic decorating or a festive art class? Or would you rather know how to make your own, sustainably-made crackers, or pom pom baubles for your Christmas tree?

For those who quite enjoy the festive tipple, they’ll be two Wine-tasting sessions, and Soul Shakers will delight the crowds with their Christmas Day Cocktail Masterclass. If you come with the whole family, don’t miss the Festive Winter Wonderland class for children under five years old and babies. It will be a sensory celebration for your mini-me, packed with music, movement, singing and dancing.
